Real toys that inspired the characters of "Toy Story"

"Toy Story" has become a successful and popular Disney / Pixar franchise , and has given rise to 4 films for just over 25 years that have marked different generations with the fun and emotional story of a group of toys that charge life when its owner does not realize.

And although this franchise has given rise to countless merchandise items, precisely toys, most of the characters that appear throughout the "Toy Story" movies have been inspired by toys that already existed.

This doll that appears in "Toy Story 4", is based on the Chatty Cathy doll, a Mattel doll that was very popular between the 50's and 60's.

The friend or rather, Gabby Gabby's bodyguard in "Toy Story 4", seems to be inspired by Charlie McCarthy, a doll that Edgar Bergen used in his artistic performances in the 20's.

3. Duke Caboom.

This cute character from "Toy Story 4" is inspired by the toy based on the Canadian motorcycle acrobat Evel Knievel, which was quite popular in the 60's and 70's.
